Templates and Reports leave much to be desired - what is the solution?

In my line of business it is a known fact that a company that creates an application has poor reporting or reporting that looks good on the surface.  Additional drilling has to happen and it creates frustration by the user because the data is there you just can’t access it.

In LPI’s case they are plugging the engineer time into fixing bugs and releasing new version and very little time into reporting/template fine tuning.  When it comes to making the alerting and reporting work like it should an extensive amount of time has to go into fine tuning the alerts so you aren’t inundated with miscellaneous errors.  We have found a much more efficient way to use the templates and have fine tuned templates to operate correctly.  In addition extensive amounts of time has gone into the reporting side.  all of these items are EXTREMELY valuable to all of using LPI.  LPI would have us upload them for free, but as you have noticed nobody is willing to do that.
